Vista Del Monte Apartments

When the places were first built, they were designed for low-income families of ALL nationalities. The front doors were glass, the grounds had grass, the places were beautifully kept and staff was well organized and professional. And everyone knew everyone else. When HUD took over, however, things became worse and neighbors on all sides began calling the places "project ...Full review of Vista Del Monte Apartments

I booked this apartment as a temp. place to stay while getting settled back in San Francisco -- and I was perfectly happy with it. The neighbourhood is fine -- it is at the border of the Tenderloin -- so it all depends which way you walk. If you go north or east, it is fine (Union Square) -- if you go south or west, it is a bit like skid row, but not particularly dangerous. My ...Full review of Landmark SF

I have lived in variouse parts of the city and in several buildings over the years and have found the Ben Hur apartments to be the best. First of all, the landlord takes a lot of pride in his building. For a large building you see him around several times a week checking in on things. The manager is great too, very helpful and fixes things immediatly. He seems to know everyone´s name. The ...Full review of Ben Hur Apartments

Living in the Cosmopolitan Apartments was perhaps the smartest financial move I've ever made. I moved there in early 1999 and left in late 2004. At the time, my rent was $650. My rent increased just once - to $669. My apartment was bright, cheery and cozy. Although the neighborhood was quite noisy and a bit dirty, I walked everywhere - to shop, work, musuems, etc. I ...Full review of Cosmopolitan

This place has been a nightmare. They shut off the water every Wednesday for the entire day. The internet rarely works. The phone service doesn't work often. Housekeeping appears at around 5:30pm weekly. The construction is noisy. The elevator is always screwy (i.e., if you hit fl 8, it lets you off at 7 so if you're trying to get on at fl 4, you have to quickly run to 3 to ...Full review of Gaylord
