I found this sight AFTER making arrangments to move in. I was nervous but was moving from the East Coast and didn't have many options. I went ahead and moved in with my girlfriend who wasn't on the lease due to lack of credit. The building is ugly, the elevator slow, and the electric heat left me dehydrated every morning. About getting the deposit back- I asked the building manager (Cindy, or something like that) on the phone before I moved in about what was said on apartmentratings.com. She said that some people view it as a hotel and leave it trashed and expect a maid to clean up, and that they will charge for everything they have to fix/clean. I filled the entire move- in sheet with everything I could find or antcipate. We cleaned the place so there was nothing they could ----- about. We got the whole deposit back (only $500 for good credit and $200 for parking). They didn't even charge us for the lockout that happened right before we moved out. All the negatives aside 2000 Broadway served its function and I found an awesome apartment in Russian Hill, so I'll never have to go back. ever. Garage parking is dope as well.
