Can't complain either... - I booked this apartment as a temp. place to stay while getting settled back in San Francisco -- and I was perfectly happy with it. The neighbourhood is fine -- it is at the border of the Tenderloin -- so it all depends which way you walk. If you go north or east, it is fine (Union Square) -- if you go south or west, it is a bit like skid row, but not particularly dangerous. My ...Full review of Landmark SF

We love it here! - My husband and I have been living at Grosvenor for about 6 years. We love it here and don't see us moving any time soon. First off, the location is incredible! We walk to Polk (almost daily), Union, even Fillmore, North Beach and Union Square from here. It's a nicer part of SF, so we feel safe (even when we're out really late - unlike other parts of town). ...Full review of Grosvenor Atrium

Not horrible so far... - I've lived here for a year now and let me tell you that coming from a bran new place in seattle to an old building in sf is total culture shock. I pay 1050 for a decent sized studio on the 4th floor... but what you pay for is living in the city. I can walk everywhere (shopping downtown, supermarket 2 blocks, laundry across the street etc...). The resident manager is a nice older lady ...Full review of Empire Court Apartments

Great apartment - I lived at McAllister Manor from August 2008 to September 2009. This was my first apartment in San Francisco and looking back, was pretty good. The location was convenient: really close to all the shops on Hayes; the 5 runs right on McAllister and getting to the 47 and 49 stops on Van Ness is just a short walk away. The building looks good (nothing super fancy, but the pictures are a ...Full review of Mc Allister Manor Apartments
