02/21/11 by anonymous: This is a quaint hotel-conversion with a fantastic lobby, wide-hallways, a service elevator and in-building laundry. What isn't great? It's slightly overpriced and the place is falling apart. I've read the review of the previous apartment manager, Jerry, and luckily he's gone but the replacement - Ben Ackerman - is just a different kind of bad. Ben is more

09/25/10 by anonymous: General Manager, After giving some thought to moving in your complex and dealing with your very rude un-professional demeanor and manorisum I have elected to not move in. After reviewing these comments I have listed below, as a manager don't you think it is time to make some changes? I would think so as a manager myself. Good luck in your efforts and I think it should start with more

05/19/11 by anonymous: Not a bad place to live unless you have a problem with the maintenance crew entering your unit while your at work without authorization. They don t seem to do anything or take anything I guess they just want to see your stuff and take a brake to watch TV! more

08/11/12 by hayesvalleysucks: Hayes Valley Proporties might as well be called Hayes Valley Glorified Slum Lordes. Property management is next to impossible to get a hold of even when you find out that your building is rodent infested. I have personally witnessed harassment to tenets from Oscar the building manager and the building is hardly ever taken care of. Hayes Vally Properties takes advantage of the high rent prices in more

09/21/11 by anonymous: The apartment was cute but the building manager was unbelievably rude and dismissive. I wouldn't live here again if somebody paid me - he refused to answer emails. If you don't want to fix a problem, fine, but at least have the courtesy to respond. It's not like we were bugging him every month. He got so nasty with me on the phone over a leak in our unit (from the unit above) more

07/09/11 by anonymous: If you never have any major maintenance problems in your unit, then you will be happy here. They are nice and responsive to minor maintenance. However, they will enter your unit without 24-hours notice and are NOT upfront with information on things that may affect your quality of living. Any bad news, they don't tell you. The staff is very nice, just not transparent if you have more

09/24/10 by ariapeace: I had to file a police report against the "landlord", Joe, at Sakura Apartments as a result of threats against me. Furthermore, I have a video of the "landlord", Joe, screaming at me on video which I have put online. more

10/27/12 by anonymous: At one time this was a nice place to live - quiet, well cared for including the laundry rooms and halls but no more! There was a great grocery store across the St at the mall along with a bakery, bookstore, drugstore and cleaners. All of this has changed in the last 7 to 8 years - especially since SF State University took the complex over for student housing. At this point, this more

08/19/08 by anonymous: I lived at this SFSU dorm during the Summer 2008 semester, and it wasn't bad for me. The apartment itself is pretty good, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and kitchen. I shared the place with 3 other roommates; 2 of us had our own bedrooms and the 2 others shared one. The apartment comes with a cable connection in every room, but internet is extra and more

02/11/14 by salvatore2524: Finding a place with secure parking/pets allowed/walk-closets/in unit washer/dryer/cabinet space right next to MUNI/BART on top of a Whole Foods was truly a luxury, we thought. Moving from out of state, like everyone else in the building, we were in a time crunch and felt like it would be worth it. The COST To move in we paid $6439. This included: $42 Two application fees $750 Pet more
