I have lived in the Fox Plaza for many years and have seen many changes in management and ownership. The current management seems to be absent. I have sent several letters to the manager about a noisy neighbor and have never gotten the courtsey of a reply. Currently there is a noise problem from two tenants on the 28th and 27th floor - all night parties and a guy with a karoke machine. The wall are well insulated but are not designed to filter out abusive neighbor's noises. I can put on an organ album and not hear it in my neighbor's room.
Many of the units have had new imitation Pergo wood floors installed. What a disaster. The gal above me walks aroung in high heels often - what a noise!
Anyone who moves into the building should beware to not live near the elevator or trash shoot. We have a lot of inconsiderate neighbors who throw trash down the shut (29 stories to the ground level) at all hours of the night. There is a periodic problem with the elevators making noise when a part on the cable is loose. Those living near the elevator hear people talking and walking on the wooden floor. There is also the problem of people who do not know how to close a door without slamming it.
If the mangement improves and one gets a good set of neighbors the experience will be good.
I am one of the few who like the architecture of the Fox Plaza - 1960's modern

If you're considering moving in, ask if there are wood floors above.
If there are, you will be sorry. Be aware if there are noise problems in the building at night (and there will be), and you complain to the desk attendant, you will be told if you have a problem, call 911.

This is a concrete construction. You can't even instal overhead lighting because of the concrete in the cieling so how can you possibly hear the people above you

I lived here for many years and never heard a neighbor -- until they renovated the floor above me and installed the laminate floors. I hear every sound they make.

The floor above me have a cheap version of wood floors. When a woman wears high heels I can hear her clopping across the floor. No, the concrete floor does not insulate me from the noise above me.
Some tenants have installed a hanging light above the ceiling (if one knows how it can be done easily), but they took it down after a short while. Since the building moves in the wind the swaying fixture was quite unnerving!
We do not have security any longer in the apartment section. The building split in to sections and sold - the business portion is owned by another entity. You will have to call the city police if you have a problem. As of July 1st as far as I know the Archstone property is for sale.
