I lived in Fox Plaza for a year and a half. To be honest, the only redeeming characteristics of this building are the views (which are beautiful), and Starbucks. They do have a gym, which is a nice commodity, but it really doesn't outweigh the negatives - specifically management. First off, the price is absolutely abhorrent. I paid $1600 a month (including parking), to live in a tiny studio and to deal with the hassle of having the parking structure open to the public and no reserved spots for residents. Oftentimes I would have to wait 15 minutes to get my car, and worse, they often require you to leave your keys with the parking attendants, who aren't present on the weekends - so if you forget to grab your keys before they close, you could be without your car for the weekend! However, the worst part of Fox Plaza is undoubtedly their asinine management team. With the exception of perhaps one (Jeremy's very sweet), the management team is a crew of uneducated slobs abuse their small ability to exert control over their betters. Unfortunately, the management seems to be upset with their lowly station in life (think DeVry and University of Phoenix dropouts) and they take it out on the residents. Every issue becomes a fight, and attempts at calming a dispute are lost on these poor unfortunate idiots. They don't feel the need to be nice or accommodating to the tenants that pay their salary. This is most likely because Fox Plaza has an extremely high turnover rate - people who move in here usually move out within a few months (watch out - they give you your first month free in a fraudulent attempt to make you stay for a year). So, management most likely reasons that the tenants will realize that this place is a -------- and move out soon enough, so why not be completely rude' All in all, DON'T move in here. Besides long waits for elevators and parking, management is abhorrent and the place isn't worth the money. It's tempting to choose Fox Plaza because of its proximity to downtown San Francisco, but you will regret it because management will make your life miserable, as will management's equals, the many bums that swarm outside. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn

If you're paying $1600 a month including parking, then your rent is only around $1400. That's not that shocking for SF. You knew what the rent was before you moved in, so it seems silly that you're complaining about a fact well within your control to walk away from. It seems you're also forgetting that the underground garage is not operated by Archstone Fox Plaza Apartments. Your contract is with another company entirely. They don't hide the fact that parking is open to the public whether that be apartments tenants, office tenants or anyone just looking for a place to park. They tell you all of this beforehand as well as the whole key thing. Again, you could choose to not live here or park elsewhere. You've admitted to staying for two years so it can't be that miserable for you. By the way, you don't have to wait to get your car if you're able to park in a space that's not tandum. I parked there for a year and never had a problem.
As for management, no, people being rude isn't acceptable, but what exactly were the situations? Can you elaborate? I mean how much contact do you need with the management office? What's going on? You refer to yourself as their "better". Maybe it was your attitude that escalated the issues. I've never had a problem with a single one of them.
I don't know what the turnover rate is, but stating people are only here for a few months is not true. We're all in leases. I've been here three years and in thoses three years have seen the same people coming and going. I've only had one immediate new neighbor in this time and the people around me have been here for years. There's also not many available units at any given time. This building is pretty full.
What do you mean they trick you into getting one month free in a fraudulent attempt to keep you here for a year? There's no fraud going on. YOU'RE the one signing the lease. YOU'RE the one who knows what the term is. One month free is a pretty standard promotion. How is this a fraud trick?
Elevators, yes, sometimes it takes longer than other times to get in or out of the building. This is a highrise. Waiting for elevators is a fact of life in highrises. You have two (sometimes three) designated apartments elevators running up and down 29 flights. This shouldn't be a shock.
Homeless, yep, homeless are in the neighborhood. Again, this isn't shocking considering the location. Didn't you notice them when you came to check out the property before moving in?
It seems everything you complain about was well within your control to walk away from before you signed a lease. Since you've been here over a year, you're month-to-month, but yet you stay. Hmmm.
