From: SomaDump Date posted: 8/5/2005 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2005   Great views of the freeway and noise as Whole Foods unloads trucks at 4:00 a.m. and the nightclubs on the weekends. The garage door jams and no one can get home at night. Management has become a swinging door since the "new" upper management came on the scene. They are chopping heads and replacing people at an unbelievable rate. Heard he likes young single females to surround him and fired the last guy to replace him for another "Cute Face". Needs to keep his preferences home and hire responsible, mature employees that know how to run a building and keep the place respectable and clean like the manager that quit. Sure it's conveniently located to downtown, but so are the "hotels" south of Market and the drug rehab center a few doors away lets us enjoy all the street people sleeping on the sidewalk and trying to sneak into the building. I'd recommend the 20 minute walk up the hill to dignified apartments in nob hill or pacific heights (or any other direction) over this box of ---- any day. And if you want to park your car in the garage, don't bother locking it and prepare for theft and vandalism several times per year--and monthly parking payments approaching that of a new car. One more thing, if an emergency arises, be sure you have life insurance and a back up plan. I know for fact that the owner of the building refuses to spend the required money to have a security office on the property.(a real cheap greedy selfish bastard) - They allow dogs so it would be safer to get a BIG one! If you want to see what tacky is, please stop by otherwise, don't bother. There are tons of vacant apartments listed on Craig's list, so you will have a lot to choose from. There will be another vacant apartment soon. I won't make that mistake again!
