It's all True From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/14/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006 1 response   My partner and I went to see an apartment last weekend. We were shown 3 units then told that the only unit available was one that we couldn't see. Neither of the 2 women in the office seem to know anything about the building and are very non committal when answering questions. For example the "Fitness Center" consists of broken machines, we asked about it and were told that replacements were ordered but they had no delivery date, then we asked about cable tv, all they offer is satellite tv that can only be purchased through their satellite provider. We were informed that the parent company made a proposal to Comcast but comcast "hadn't gotten back to them." Then we asked if the building had security and got some answer about relying on neighbors looking out for each other. I know, a lot of red flags but at this point we were kind of desperate, we had 48 hours to find a place before we came back home so we figured it would only be a year and we could find something else. We went through the entire application process and then the woman said that our type of dog was on a restricted breed list. We were there for 2.5 hours and she knew from the start about our dog, I showed her a picture of him on my phone. The building manager was yelling answers to our questions from her office and did not seem to care that we wasted our afternoon there. The few tenants we saw there looked miserable.
