Building changed hands in February and everything has gone wrong since. The new management is incompetent and couldn't care less about its tennants. The place used to be a nice community with a good number of FUNCTIONING amenities, but now everything is either not working, off-limits, or available for a fee!
Beware of hidden costs. You move in and they don't tell you that you CANNOT get cable, you have to get DirectTV through their company, which requires new equipment, and their preferred provider will charge you an access fee in addition to the DirecTV charges - for what, I don't know.
Same goes for your internet connection and other services. They will charge you at every turn for things that shoudl be included in the rent, like their utilities fees, etc. These guys are scam artists.
The management could not care less if you were there, and for the most part, they do their best to ignore you and there usually isn't someone at the desk. This wasn't a problem before because they would deliver your packages, allow access to the dry cleaning people, etc. - things that they advertise as amenities/services, but since the new management took over, they cut back on staff and don't follow through on advertised services. The staff either isn't there or will close the door to ignore you. Office hours now begin so late that if you work, you leave before they arrive, and arrive after they've left. They're supposed to be there later these days but always leave early and they're not open on Sundays anymore, so you have to schedule time on your Saturday to pick up your packages from the week according to their slow schedule.
Gym equipment doesn't work, and they are slow to repair and replacements take six months to arrive because they buy the cheapest equipment for the place. The grill on the deck never works and the laundry rooms are usually in a state of semi-disrepair these days.
They advertise having social events every now and again, but they start so early, if you have a job, you just can't make it. Who can make a mid afternoon tennant appreciation event' Overall, they've turned a decent place to live in a nice location into such a hassle, that it's not worth the headache.
Final straw, they raise the rent 22% at the end of your lease. I'm not sure what we're paying these outrageous rents for, but I'm outta here! The turnover is good for them because they jack up the rent, so they have no reason to fix things.
If you really want to know what the scoop is, just ask any resident...

Visited here this morning and found the staff to be friendly and knowledgable. However, I wasn't thrilled at the "have to" for satellite and DSL nor does the general area hold much allure for me. I saw a handful of homeless on the street, lotsa broken glass and litter, and a somewhat sketchy vicinity--I wouldn't feel safe walking to a restaurant or coffeehouse at night in that area.

The staff is friendly when they're trying to get you to sign the lease, but after that, they could care less.
