If you read the previous ratings, they sound pretty much like the staff members at this fine hotel...err, I mean apartment. Here are some specifics about this apartment which you should take with a grain of salt - as these are my opinions.

Pros:
1. Beautiful Views (if you selected the apartment facing the Sunset and Ocean).
2. Pets are welcome for a $750.00 Deposit
3. Convenient short 3 blocks walk to Muni
4. Free heating system (SF can get pretty cold).
5. Concrete structure that reduces some people/animal noises. (Note: I said some).
6. Easy going staff.
7. All-in-one electric/water/trash bill.
8. Did I mention awesome views'

Cons:
1. Old 1950's building and hard for staffers to keep up with the maintenance work.
2. Has Asbestos and lead paints (') - normal waiver you have to sign just like the other older buildings in SF.
3. Elevator problems galor (oh yes, they've upgraded it too). Imagine being stuck on the 10th Floor and in a rush to get to work...waiting 10, 15, 20 minutes for the elevator.
4. Fleas and whatever else (sometimes poopoo) the pets/owners that are dirty track into the hall carpets.
5. Aging Single pained windows and sliding glass doors that allow wind, street, and any other external noise (like the gardener at 8:00AM) to come through clear - more so at night. This actually forces the folks living around you to play the TV and radio louder.
6. 8 washers/8 dryers per building - people washing or drying their clothes but forgetting to take them out.
7. Apartment parking is an additional cost to the rent ($100 to $150 more).
8. 1950's high rise hollow walls with concrete floors that allow certain sounds to come through - i.e. neighbors hammering, chopping food, shutting/slamming drawers, dogs barking, opening/closing sliding glass doors or windows.
9. Leasing office staffers leaving early when you need them (quite frequent).
10. No pool, sauna, or gym
11. Pricey rent - could be a mortgage
12. A heaven for silver fishes (creepy crawlys).
13. Neighbors sometimes yelling at each other on the balcony.
14. Move-in hell. Yes, it will take a long time to move-in with the small elevators (hope they work when you move in).

I hope this helps you in your search for a better place to live.
