I've lived here for almost four years, and
Avalon Towers ranks as the best building in
which I've lived.
The quality of the building itself is
excellent. It's quiet, thanks to the
concrete construction. I've had very few
problems requiring maintenance, and all
were fixed within 48 hours.
I've seen a lot of turnover in the staff
over the years, but the office staff have
all been responsive, helpful, and
professional. And the 24-hour concierges
are great.
I'll be moving soon, due to a job relocation,
but if I were staying in SF I'd probably
keep renting here until I bought a house.
There's one major problem with the building,
however: the apartments have no air conditioning. It can get quite hot inside
on sunny days (the downside of the nice
views is that the building gets no shade
at all). This was a big problem for me;
I don't know how much other people would
mind. If you're thinking of renting here,
visit on a warm, sunny day so you can make
up your own mind.

Thank god, I heard the truth before committing based on their false marketing. So any recommendations for a decent 1BR luxury apartment in Mi.Bay/SoBe area?
