We are very happy living here at the Avalon Towers by the Bay. I have nothing but good things to say about the place. The staff are very friendly and responsive to your needs. The building is secure and feels safe. The washer & dryer are in a small laundry room in the unit... (thats my favorite thing). The kitchen has nice/clean appliances and lots of storage. We have a walk in closet in our bedroom and don't even get me started about the awesome/amazing views of the Bay Bridge from our bedroom and living room! My cat even loves it... he does have to pay pet rent every month but doesn't seem to mind. The other tenants I run into also love it here but warn me that come lease renewal time I will definately see a rent increase of about 20%!!! I'm holding my breath on that one because that is the ONLY thing that would get me to leave seeing as it's already on the pricey side. If I do have to go at least I got to have one glorious year here.

We have lived here for over two years, and agree with you, it really is pretty nice place to live. We came from the Avalon Mission Bay Bldg which is a total trainwreck. Regarding the rent increase; we have renewed our lease twice, and it is not 20%. First time was 7%, second renewal was 9.5%. Yes it is on the high-end for percentages, but if you factor the cost of moving (movers, new security dep, and other incidentals) it really is not that expensive. Just my 2 cents....
