Avalon at Nob Hill formerly City Heights Apartments

Lived here from 2006-2007. This place is way way overpriced for what you are getting and they will raise your rent almost $200 after your lease is up. you can find things better a few blocks away for up to 400 bucks less a month. The grounds are generally clean and safe, but it seems i'm the only person that cleans up after their pet. If you live on the street level in either building be prepared for the roudy drunks rolling through the halls at all hours of the nights on the weekends. Being awoke by people punching, or slamming the handicap door release at 3 in the morning. Even had a few attempt to come into my house (so drunk thought my apt was thiers). Not pleasant to hear someone trying to come in your front door in the middle of the night.
My crappy freezer completely frosted over at least once a month to the point I had to remove all the food and let it thaw in order to fit things into it. The windows are not air tight. There was a one inch gap in my window where the seal had pulled lose from the glass. I complained and each time was told that the people who installed the windows would be coming to fix/inspect them. Never was fixed in the year I was there. This, in addition to the wall heating units that actually let cold air in due to the way they were installed, left you with a very cold apt.
Parking sucks, either you pay an outrageous amount for a permanent stall or you are fubarred. There isnt even visitor parking unless you want to pay 16 bucks a day.

This place is horrible. The apartment wasn't clean when I moved in and the rent was too expensive so I decided to do their "$250 relocation program" by moving to another Avalon. But what I wasn't told was that the 250 dollar relocation fee only applied to other Avalon communities 50 miles away for further. I moved to one about 30 miles away ant it cost me $2165.00 but they told me this AFTER I had given them my move out notice so I had to move. IT cost me almost $5000.00 to relocate to another Avalon community.
This place is a rip-off. You pay extra just for parking and extra for friends to park. The office staff does nothings to help and when I did finally move out they charged me my full rent instead of my pro-rated amount. They then told me they would give my stolen money back at the same time as my deposit (21 days)(the longest you can legally go not giving the money back.
I signed a 6 month with the new avalon complex I am moving to and I WILL move out when it is up. These guys are crooks and their complext is terrible. Never live here there are better deals in the city. A one bedroom with a parking space runs you 2,465.00 a month.
