Lived here for about 6 months in a larger 1BR in one of the newer buildings (2 Bayside). Overlooked the pool. Good light, very minimal noise from neighbors. Only drawback was muffled outside noise from Bay Bridge (yes, it IS that close) but never an issue at all.
Great MUNI access to downtown and there is a shuttle to financial district...although I never took it. Best part of location is easy freeway access to either East Bay or Peninsula, and proximity to Pac Bell Park. Worst part is lack of "neighborhood" feel although there are a few good restaurants and a decent cafe within walking distance.
Management was responsive. Underground parking works well.
Overall, definitely recommend it but can't speak for other units in the other buildings that make up the complex.
