I planned on moving to Bayside because its amenities were great and the apartments were cheaper than elsewhere in South Beach (good move-in specials-->that were only mentioned to me when I went with my parents, the day before the manager told me there were none). I was promised a one bedroom, paid the deposit and spoke to the leasing manager everyday to setup appointments for the lease; however, the day after I made my flight reservations to fly and move in, I was told they gave the apartment to someone else and there were no availabilities for the next few months (the manager said he was not aware someone was on the waiting list before me!). I was charged and the managers were obviously avoiding my phone calls. Not only was this a disappointment, but they lost a good tenant. The manager(you would know who I am talking about if you went there) also kept circling around the subject of renting and seemed like he was in another world the entire time. Just to understand that I "got" the apartment took 1 1/2 hours! I am renting now across the street and it is heaven, the management is way better and I only have to pay $25 more a month. Bayside sucks.
