Bayside Village

Nice place From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/26/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   I've been living in Bayside for about a month and I really like it. It's peaceful and convenient, especially if you work in the financial district, because of the free shuttle. It's also close to major freeways, great when visiting my folks in the East Bay, although parking in the garage is an extra $200 and street parking is $100. Someone already mentioned before that if you are looking for the SF experience and want to be in the heart of the SF nigthtlife, then this is not really the place to be. It'a not the typical traditional SF neighborhood you'd find in say Nob Hill or Sunset.It's got mostly new upscale restaurants and shops. But I've lived in SF before and was looking for a quiet,clean peaceful place this time to crash after a long day at work in the financial district. I enjoy the gym and grocery store, and walks I take on the embarcadero. I've yet to experience the pools and saunas, but am looking forward to it. I live in a studio and it's perfect for one person. The huge bay windows top to floor make my studio roomy and there is an walk in closet and coat closet for extra storage. It is a bit pricey, but it's not bad considering it's in South Beach and compared to other apartments in the area. Also,the fact that I pay nothing for transportation by taking the free shuttle and the other amenitiies (free gym and pools) makes it all worth it for me IMO. The only downside so far is one of the office managers, Maria. She's been mentioned several times in the postings. She is very rude and abrupt and has the worst attitude and disposition.If you ask her a question or need some help, it seems like she doesn't care or want to be bothered. Her answers are quick and abrupt. Everyone else is nice and friendly except for her. I wish someone would talk to her about that or they would replace her, because she's the only bummer in the otherwise fantastic Bayside Village.
