I lived in this apartment for 6 months before i couldn't take it anymore. True, the units are quite nice, and the noise isn't really THAT bad. But none of this is worth what you will have to put up with in your tenancy there. The manager, Jerry Amundson, is a bitter old goat who feels no inclination to treat you with even a shred of respect (especially if you're a woman -- god help you). He acts put out or imposed upon any time you ask him to do anything. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the Manager's job to fix things like the perpetually broken elevator''' Yes it is!!! But no matter how nicely you approach this arrogant b@stard, you will be met with an exasperated sigh, some self-pity story about how much work he has to do (which is NONE -- everything is outsourced -- the most he has to do is make a phone call), and likely will have to endure a slew of mumbled insults as he walks away from you. And if you call him on his deplorable behavior (which I did on several occasions as my frustration grew), a yelling match ensues which you can never win, no matter how "right" you may be. Jerry feels as though he needs to get the last word in, even if that means under his breath. And never have I met anyone who is so adept at making every situation into YOUR fault. Even something simple like "Hey, Jerry, I'm still getting mail for the previous tenant, do you have a forwarding address for them, or should I just write 'return to sender' on it'" Trust me, this can be made into your fault in Jerry's warped mind. And when you give your 30-day notice to leave, it gets even worse!! He's at your door every other day, looking inside to see what you're doing. He's telling you how hard it is to be him, having to show all these units. He's berating you for making too much noise carrying your boxes down 5 flights of stairs because the godd@mn elevator is broken -- again. Consider this last bit of information before you decide to view a unit in this building -- one day my front door buzzer wasn't working, so I had to walk down a number of floors to let a guest in. When I finally got there, there was Jerry, yelling at my guest to "Get the hell out of here! You don't live here! I'll call the police if you don't leave right now! You're tresspassing!" Is this the kind of manager you want to be reliant upon'' Someone who will berate not only you, but your friends, your family, and even the pizza delivery guy' Do yourself a favor and DON'T live here. And do the neighborhood a bigger favor -- TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS GUY SO NO ONE WILL RENT THERE.

Gosh, you hit the spot with all of your statements. He is such a nutcase and he is too --- that he hates all the women around... An addition to that; he also hates men tenants. He is not a sociable person and is a pain in the ass each time you deal with him. Excuse me for the word that I am going to use, but I don't know of any better place to use this word. Jerry is a total -------!!!
