Agreed - fake reviews From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/25/2003 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003   Sadly, the past few reviews are fake, as the previous poster said. I didn't write them, but they're almost necessary (though still fake, fake, fake) because the only reviews folks seem to post here are nasty ones. I've been here three years and could leave at any time. I choose to stay because I still like it here. Frankly, moving is also a major pain. The rent should be lower, but the problems with hot water, trash and crime are exaggerated. I would say they do need to keep 24-hour security in the garage given what we pay for our spots, though. Verizon Avenue provides free Internet access. At first I was very annoyed they kicked out the old company, and I still question the ethics and legality of that, but I've had zero trouble with the new provider. People can always get DSL. Lobby for rent no more than $2000 a month (on a two bed/two bath) with at least one free parking spot. You may even get a free month if you sign for a year. Competition is fierce now that Avalon at Mission Bay is open!
