then this is the place for you. Mario cASStro has recently hired a new husband and wife management team for the building. they are apparently more in line with his chickenshit business model than the previous manager. the man that managed the building when i moved in was a grouchy, grunting ineffectual sort and a bit passive aggressive i gather from notices he'd post in the hallways, but i never had a problem with him or his wife/partner. any issue i took to them was always dealt with immediately.
the building and units are OK for the price. nothing special. moderate noise as there are a lot of younger 20- and 30-somethings who live there. there are moths, cockroaches and other vermin about which their new pest control techniques don't seem to be doing much about. i kept bugs to a minimum with a little bug spray and keeping the kitchen crumb-free.
without one word to me, mr. cASStro hired an attorney to deliver a 3-day notice to me accusing me of a 'nuisance' and 'illegal acts', but failed to state what those nuissances/illegal acts were. i fired back with a letter that apparently convinced them i was a little bit smarter than they are (3-syllable words), but decided to move out two months later.
i'd think twice about this one, unless you're prepared to deal a with pussycommunist LL and his manager minions.
