I highly do NOT recommend the Fillmore Center Apartments. We went on vacation for about a month and came back to our apartment completely damaged. At first I thought we were robbed, but then I noticed that half the carpet in the living room was ripped and there was a large fan under the carpet. All of our furniture was rearranged and our pots and pans were out on the counter and there was a strong mold odor throughout the whole apartment. We then found a hand written note *dated a week ago* saying that our apartment sink over flowed for some unexplainable reason and our apartment was flooded. We immediately went down to the management office and did not find one person who knew why our apartment was trashed. Finally they located a maintenance employee and we were told that they were waiting for us to return to explain the condition of our apartment. *WE DID HAVE TWO CELL PHONES ON FILE AND THEY FAILED TO CONTACT US!!!* Since it was late in the evening they gave us a hospitality suite, which they use as a hotel room and rent out to resident guests. However, the rooms were not clean due to the dirty dishes in the sink and used sheets and towels thrown in the closet. We eventually stayed in the hospitality suite for two nights and then was rudely informed that the hospitality suite was reserved for the next week and we would have to stay at a hotel at our expense. WHAT!!!!! We went down and talked to the property manager and was furious!!! After arguing for 30 minutes we left the office with no solution as to fixing the apartment and no idea where we would sleep the next day. I went to my apartment to get some of my things and then I started coughing and getting a bad headache from all of the mold odor. I tried to explain to the manager that even after the carpet gets replaced the smell in the apartment is too unbearable. Eventually the management sent us to a hotel in downtown agreeing to pay for our two nights lodging while our apartment was being fixed. When we went to the hotel, they only had it paid for one night and we had to pay for parking. The management kept telling us one thing and then doing another. I had to call the manager back to ask if the apartment was going to be fixed in one day and they said that was their original plan.
However, none of our damaged belongings were replaced or compensated for. Even without this experience I hated everything about it. The smell of the apartment hallways, the graffiti in the elevators, the noise, and never feeling safe. Oh, to top it all off, when i got my deposit mailed to me I did not get even half of what I should have received. I was charged for carpet damage. Damage that was from the flooding. I had to call the accounting department and tell them the whole story and then about three months after we moved out of the Fillmore Center I received my deposit back. PLEASE take my advice and do not put yourselves or your family and friends through the traumatizing experience we have had.

Yeah..I hate it when I leave my faucet on before I go on vacation. My neglect is completely management's burden. Their fault.

Murfulous? In reading through the reviews on this property I've noticed that your name keeps coming up defending the place? Why is that?

Now, I don't feel sorry for someone who moves to the neighborhood without checking the neighborhood out.

But you seem to be making a pretty big jump here accusing the tenant here of leaving their faucet on when they went on vacation.

You really do sound like a defensive employee of the property.

After reading some of the reviews of the property, I'm a bit nervous about moving there. But considering my last apartment was at 6th and Mission, the Fillmore neighborhood seems like a step up, even after dark.
