Getting worse

As I sit here writing, I'm being FORCED to listen to "Dirty Dancing" being played at a very loud volume from outside my window. If I wanted to listen to my own TV or stereo, I would have to crank it to an unreasonable volume to drown out the movie outside. I've lived in this apartment about three years and really only moved here because I own a dog. I do like it's central location as well...

Since I've moved here, the farmer's market on Saturday mornings (also right outside my window) has gone from just summertime to year-round... Now it IS nice to have a farmer's market out there, but when the trucks start backing in and the cars are being towed at six AM, it's kind of a drag on a Saturday morning when you'd like to sleep in. The "jazz" bands that play are usually terrible (every once in a while there's a good one, but I'm usually not in the mood for it by the time I've been awakened by all the "setup noise"). What's more, last Saturday, some jackass set up shop with an electric guitar and played completely soulless versions of some standards starting at about 7:30am. I wanted to strangle the guy. The Fillmore Center is not only fine with all this, they encourage it.

Apparently there are going to be a number of these "movie nights" this summer alternating with "concert nights" on other weeks. I'm going to look into moving when the lease runs out... as it is I'm sure they're going to plan on raising the rent again anyway.

Oh... and Sideshow Bob... I've been reading your endless testimonials... suck it.

It is totally about the dog. It is really hard to find a place that takes two 50 lb dogs like mine. It is the only reason I stay here. And "riding the wave of prosperity????" Is sideshow Bob aware of the global financial crisis and an unemployment rate in CA that exceeds 11%?? If the prosperity wave actually existed, why would the Fillmore center be advertising studios for almost $400 less per month than mine? After completing a one year lease, these bastards would have raised my rent $600/mo. if I went month to month. And, they refused to let me move into one of the less expensive studios when my lease was up for renewal. Maybe Bob is on welfare and gets a better deal than the rest of us.

SONIC!!!! How have you ever managed to suffer through all this for 3 years? Must be the dog. After all, I'm sure this is the ONLY pet friendly property in SF. As I write this, I'm listening to Hungry Eyes blasting from the plaza, so the flicks about half over. Don't care to watch the movie, but the music's good. Hey, Genius!!!! Here's a thought: on movie nites, why not just saunter on down to Bruno's for a brew, or the Boom Boom Room? And as for the Farmers Market street noise on Saturday, if you close your dual pane windows, you won't hear it. Tell you what I'll do: I'll have a chat with Paul and see if he can have them sart a bit later, maybe 10:30. Or if another time is better for you, let me know. And those buses!! How can you stand it? Up and down the street all times of the nite. My next luch with Gavin, I'll see if I can get that changed as well. And who do they think they are, raising rent from last years numbers? The nerve of thos people, riding the wave of prosperity on the backs of the sleep deprived dog lovers of San Francisco. That's just wrong. Enjoy the hunt for your new digs!! You can hear it through the windows, dickhead. Yes it IS about the dog as a lot of places won't take a big dog (not even this place anymore, she's "grandfathered in") and I don't have lots of time to be looking around... will this time 'round though. As for "sauntering to Bruno's," I work tomorrow and want to relax in my own home, a**hole

The thing about the Bob guy is he's outdone himself so much that no-one who reads his posts takes him seriously so I wouldn't worry about him too much. He's so over the top it's like listening to one of those car salesmen with the bad suits and white shoes.
