"Slumlords" would be flattery in describing Hayes Valley Properties.
I've had:
broken floorboards for three years
cracked windows for 2 years
refrigerators broken for 3 weeks
construction on the roof with NO notice, the kind of construction that accidentally severs your TV cable because the management can't be troubled to pay attention.
New tenants have commented that the building has *no* management. They're on to something there. At least it's cheap, but not for the newer tenants.

Ok, this is what brainiacs we're dealing with. They spent big bucks gentrifying our 'sty on Ivy st. gluing hardwood tiles over the carpet without cleaning it, thus attracting bugs under the floor. Bathrooms were redone with marble although the building structure can't really support the weight. The hallway "fire doors" are made of wood. When one apartment was burglarized by a crackhead in November, the management posted a warning sign on the outside of the front door explaining how they got in. Hayes Valley Properties is not stafffed with rocket scientists.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT rent from Hayes Valley Properties.
