Shady Landlords !

First, we were shown a model unit that was much larger than the unit we were actually given. When I asked for a larger unit, I was told that I would need to give another non-refundable deposit to get another unit.
There is 1 cage elevator in this complex that breaks down weekly. If you choose to live here -- don't rent a unit on a floor you arent prepared to take the stairs to. Management never even makes apologies for the inconvenience, much less offers rent-concessions.
The landlord requires you to pay rent w/ a credit card. They claim the deposit is non-refundable b/c they do all the cleaning, but when you move out -- they charge your credit card with many ridiculous charges and never return calls or letters disputing the charges. If you do rent a unit here -- make sure you contact your credit card company the very day a shady charge is made so Landmark isn't able to get your money.
Lastly, although the location of the complex borders the tenderloin -- I knew that going into the rental so I can't hold the landlords responsible for that. However, they charge a premium in rent for such a shady location -- that I didn't expect such shady behavior from the management.
