Firstly, these are not apartments. These are low income family units. Some of us do pay market rent...that?s our 1st mistake.



The management is a joke. I?ve had a hole in my wall (right when you walk in the door) for 3 years. I?ve gotten a yearly inspection about 8 times this year- but nothing has changed. The did one yesterday again - I told them to use the one from 3 months ago because nothing had changed.



Let?s talk about my neighbors. Well, there?s some guys that don?t really live here, however, they use my hallway as their business establishment (if you know what I mean) There are often block parties, but the city knows nothing about them. These parties usually take place around the 1st or 15th of the month. We?ve got a few kids that are fan of Evil Knival because they ride their motorcycles up and down the dead end street (yes--the police blocked the end of the street because they were tired of getting beaten in the high-speed chase) or in the grass behind the complex.



The maintainence.....right! They exist' I?ve got a hole in my ceiling from a busted pipe back in July...still not fixed. Got a hole in the floor from some vietnamese contractors (no english spoken) who supposively upgraded the kitchen cabinets. They never finished, thus the hole in the floor where the was once a broom closet.



The office....lot?s of frustrated, rude women who?s face would break if they ever cracked a smile. You numerous messages never seem to get to the right person. You leave messages that get sucked into the "black hole". I could say a lot more but kids may be reading this.



The crime----let?s just say it?s bad...extremely bad. My car was broken into while pad locked in the garage.



Security----rent-a-cops that don?t do a thing to the self employed young men in my hallway...they?re too busy towing cars of the working people and pushing the kids around for walking on the grass.



STAY AWAY! STAY VERY FAR AWAY!!!

This is not how I have ever seen this property, matter of fact, the property is a choice location for many San Francisco Residents. The office staff has proven to be very helpful and as far as the maintenance staff, in speaking to my neighbors and the other residents here, I see that they not only care about the property but care about the residents and their comforts as well. The crime rate has decreased in the last few years so much so that the street you addressed as having chaos is one of the quietest streets and a good place to raise a family. The only "Block Party" that I have ever seen is the yearly Health and Safety Fair that the Management hold for the residents. The event is full of fun for all and plenty of food and entertainment plus they bring in many outside organizations that offer various services and resources to the residents. I have lived here for all of 29 years,eleven of them as a Market Renter and have not only raised very successful children that have benefited from "living outside of the city life" here at the La Salle Apartments. Thus I fully do not agree with your assessment of the property as a whole or in part.
