Conveniently located in Hayes Valley, McAllister Manor is a good place to live. I live there for 5 years and only moved because I had outgrown my studio. Christin Harvey, the onsite manager, goes out of her way to take care of her tenents. She even pays put of her own pocket for the Christmas tree that goes up in the lobby every year and invites tenents and former tenents over to help decorate it. How cool is that'

Rents have gone up since I moved out, but they have upgraded the units so it's still a pretty good deal.

The only negatives are the noise from Gough Street and the lights from surrounding parking lots at night. Units are a little smallish, too.
