This is to state my abhorring experience in staying at Nob Hill Chateau in SF in Feb 2007 for 30 days. I found Nob Hill Chateau through its website which has nice photo presentations of the rooms. My original plan was to stay at Nob Hill Chateau for at least 3 months which would have been a shameful DISASTER.

Upon my arrival from international flight, I was dismayed how deceiving the website photos were. What website says about "being elegant, spacious, dedication to comfort, impeccable services etc etc" I found was exact contrary to the truth.

Firstly, the extra-ordinarily small room I checked in had stained carpeting that made squeak sound underneath its uneven wooden floor everywhere being walked. I went to the kitchen area where I saw thick black dusts on cabinet counters. So I pulled out my own wet tissue to clean up before unpacking. Then I could not take a shower because it was broken. I tried to call service, but not only the manager on duty went home but also the room telephone line was making constant clicking sound every second that I requested an exchange.,I had to take sleeping pills for one month stay as I could hear neighbors walking all days and nights until my final March check out. There was no sound proof at all.

I found a much better furnished, more spacious, and cleaner serviced apt building managed by 24 hr helpful and reliable staff just one block away from Nob Hill Chateau. I met some other residents in this new place who checked out from Nob Hill Chateau soon after their check in being totally disappointed for the same reason I had.

Last week, there was an international post mail delivered to my previous address at Nob Hill Chateau. As soon as I found out, I called the manager (May 21) to see if I could pick it up. I was told that post office took it back because they could not find me. During my Nob Hill Chateau stay, I had many interactions with Nob Hill Chateau manager in person, on the phone, and by email. She has my contract with contact information including my mobile phone number and email address. She or any other person responsible at the could have easily contacted me at any time. I asked her for how long my mail was sitting at the mail room, she was not sure but for a few days - while she was not there, she said.

I called SF Post office carrier supervisor and confirmed with my full name and tracking no.(EM 803 976 879 KR) that delivery was made ( May 16th, 2007 @ 10:30AM) to NH Chateau. However, bar-coded record shows it was NOT taken back by post office !!

I am amazed how UNRELIABLE, UNACCEPTABLE their services and room rates are for such a low quality. "...Dedication to comfort and impeccable services"''' Please look up a dictionary. I cannot recommend Nob Hill Chateau to anybody who cares for money, time, and, above all, well-beings during SF stay.
