The Studio was cool except it was priced at about $300.00 more per month than you can find in most other areas around the city. I was excited to have a place with a deck facing the bay but I was quickly let down after the first couple of days of living there. Right across the street is the city bus yard and hit houses all the busses with diesel engines. At 4:00 am every day they start all the busses and let them warm up until 6:00 am. Have you ever heard how loud 50 busses are less than 50 feet from your door and windows' Add in the sound of the back up squawk the busses make and the mechanics yelling back and forth and you have the beginnings of a bad day. But that is not the worst part. Just imagine how much exhaust is emitted from fifty busses running for 2 hours right across the street! I could not walk on patio because it covered in black soot! My screens where covered in black soot. The place is a toxic waste dump!
The flip side is, if you live on the south side it s la la land with gum drop waterfalls and candy cane slides. Whatever you do stay away from the north side of the building at all cost! The building does have 24 hour security and that helps when you sleep walk out your front door wearing nothing but your boxers at 3:00 am and the door locks behind you! The pool is nice, the courtyards are nice and the parking is nice. They even have temp. parking for visitors for $10.00.
If it were not for the buss yard spewing toxic cancer causing fumes across the street, I might be tempted to move back even though it is way over priced. The location is the factor!
