I would like to comment on the previous post
Currently "decent" and rapidly improving.

I was a tenant in this building for almost 10 years. I would agree that during the previous building mangers (Paul) time here was the beginning of the building falling into a state of decay a few things did happen on a regular basis. For example cleaners came in once a week to clean the hallways and lobby, and units were treated for pest control once a month. Prior to that this was a great place to live, the laundry room was always clean as was the garbage room and back entrance way.

One good point of living here is the location being close to Van ness and Market Streets there is lots of public transportation nearby as well as close proximity to Hayes Street.

Mostly all of the tenants are very pleasant, tolerant, and polite people. I do not agree that the building has mostly students as many tenants have lived here longer than I have.

Supposedly Keith is the building manager working together with Catherine but I have not seen Keith anywhere near the building in almost a year.

The hallways, lobby, back entrance, laundry room, and garbage room seem to almost never get cleaned. When the front entrance and back entrance (close proximity to the garbage room) do not get cleaned they seem to fill with flies. The windows do not have screens so it is a constant battle to keep them out of your apartment.

The laundry room walls are usually covered with lint from the dryers and I would recommend cleaning the washers before using them.

Since the opening of the Rickshaw Stop a nightclub 2 doors down the front of the building is very noisy with crowds of people until late Friday and Saturday nights.

It is too bad because the when the building maintenance is kept up, it is a very nice place and was a great place to live.
