Unfortunately, I was forced to move because my unit (501) had, and most likely still has, an infestation of bed bugs. I had to toss my brand new $600 bed and many other personal items. Management would not take responsiblity and compensate me. In all fairness, however, Catherine, the current co-manager, did call pest control. They sprayed three times, but the bed bugs still lingered. A nightmarish situation all around. Otherwise, a decent starter apartment. Very sweet neighbors, some of whom have been there for many many years.

I am sorry you had this experience, I have heard bed bugs are difficult to get rid of.
But I have to say that I have been here for about 12 years and this is the first I have heard of anything like this. In fact I have never seen any kind of bug here - (except the damn flies!) - At present the elevator has been modernized (replaced), the washers / dryers have been replaced, and a new fire alarm system has been installed.

Catherine changed venders and is inspecting 501 with a company that uses dogs to sniff out the bugs. She says she will most likely do the whole building to insure there are no bugs. It's great news and makes my way more comfortable.
