Living in the Heart of the City

I moved into a one bedroom the Paramount after selling my 2 bedroom TIC. The construction of the building is so much better than any place I have lived before. The windows are heavy and shut out most outside noise, the units are well insulated from the neighbors, except for some reason at the walls near the windows. Totally unlike the place I sold where I could hear every step above and any noise outside.
I've found the staff wonderful without exception, and the quality of the unit is great, although the appliances are not exactly high-end....but this is a rental, after all. I compared what you get at the Paramount to other "luxury" buildings such as the Avalon and others. I kept comparing them to the Paramount since it was the benchmark with regard to just about everything: location, quality and amenities. It wasn't even the most expensive either, so it was an easy decision. Yes, the parking is expensive, but many non-valet buildings are nearly as much. The real deciding factor was location. Near almost everything, including transportation. Walk to BART to the Airport' I've already saved a lot on airport parking.
Living at the Paramount is so nice, it almost feels like I'm on permanent vacation.
