Interesting building, strange subculture within, neighborhood is strange(transexual prostitutes, some crackheads, and Larkin Shelter Wanderers). However, if you can get past that, its a very convenient location with several places to get food within a block, as well as laundry inside. Landlord is an interesting fellow, cargo pantalooned, military style authoritarian - yet with a quaint homely attitude. Overall: Strange, yet can be homely. I recommend a 3 month lease, and if you get along and feel welcome, stay longer on a monthly lease. (only metered parking in area - aside from pay to stay places)
