It's true that Rincon raises rent AND charges unfairly!!

Years at this apartment: 1995 - 1996
I lived there at Rincon Towers before it was trendy, in 1995/96, in a BMR (Below Market Rate) unit.
I had a "nice" studio, comfortable, seemingly sound, etc. I was content. I do agree that they use cheap material. The kitchen countertop is a cheap laminate or formica.
Then when my one-year lease expired, they raised my rent, which I felt wasn't fair, so I gave a 30 day notice and left. They didn't even bother to negotiate with me.
Secondly, upon leaving, they tried to charge me $250 to replace the linoleum in the kitchen! How many renters out there would say that after just ONE YEAR of living in a studio alone (with no roommates) that you would have worn out the linoleum to the extent that it needed to be replaced''' They're not only unethical but cheap bastards too. I had to demand my $250 back from my deposit (I threatened them with legal action) and only then did they sent me a check for the amount.
They're crooks
