Yes, I would recommend it.

I like Soma residences because the building and apartments are state of the art, everything is new, including kitchen appliances. They have a microwave also. The place is huge, I think they have over 400 apartments so it really depends where you live. I live on the second floor on the inside, but not facing Minna Street, and would highly recommend my side and floor. There is a common outdoor open-air patio where you can walk in the building itself, it's great it feels like you are in your own little city. I live in a studio, it's a decent size, the bathroom is big also. If you are by yourself, that's all you really need. I don't hear any noise whatsoever from the outside, and this is downtown between 6th and 7th, and I am a noise freak. Sometimes I could hear someone playing their guitar but that wasn't too late at night, and did not really bother me. The apartment is very convenient to everything downtown, BART and MUNI are 1 1/2 blocks away. Neighborhood can be very sketchy, but I never had any problems. If you are zooming into your apartment after work or just getting home from someplace it's ok. It's not a place for kids because you can't really take a stroller out on Mission, since it's noisy and there are a lot of weirdos around. I would recommend that you deal with Ray from the office, Susan didn't seem very helpful.
