A very nice place to live if you like the city

The staff has always been helpful. I've been surprised and impressed by their service many times. Herb is especially good.
Usually very quiet. I face the courtyard which traps noise coming from people out on their balconies. It can be bad on Friday and Saturday nights, but for the most part, there aren't any major problems.
If you like it quiet, avoid facing Minna Street or Mission Street.
I'm on the 4th floor, and I'll agree with one of the other reviewers that it does seem better up here. My neighbors are very pleasant.
The neighborhood isn't so nice. In fact, sometimes I dread going out or coming back home, knowing what I have to deal with. I wouldn't even really call it a neighborhood. It's a somewhat industrial area - not very comfortable for walking.
Maintenance has been very good. I'm impressed with how quickly they respond to problems.
Some of the laundry machines are occasionally out of order, but this can't be blamed entirely on the management since they lease the laundry rooms out to a company that deals exclusively with laundry machine maintenance and repair.
I almost never hear my neighbors. Either they're very quiet, or the building is solidly constructed. I think it's the latter.
