I live in the live/work lofts that are directly on the street. The worst part of it is the garbage trucks that come by. They come 3 times a week around 1am. The desigh of my place and the way the windows open collects noise and bounces into the apartment, sounding like you were practicaly on the street. Thank god my lease is ending next month. I'm going to leave no matter what. The management's not that great either. The only person there who is even personable and worth talking to in that office is Herb. The street noise is the least of the issues with this place. The apartment has a separate fire alarm that is connected to the building. The alarm is VERY loud. Ear piercing loud. It's gone off more times than I can count. Usually there isn't even a fire. There's also the "annual" inspections of the place where they check your fire alarm and cleanliness of your place which of course is lame. Of all my apartment living, I've never had that kind of invasion. This place is not worth the money.
