I was quite satisfied with my seven months at St. Francis Place. The location was a convenient walk to my job in the Financial District, and the Metreon and various stores and restaurants (including dim-sum takout around the corner) are nearby. The main entrance is manned, and there is a rear card-access entry, but I didn't see any unauthorized access there. The staff is professional and friendly, and they accept packages for you in the office. I had pacbell DSL installation with no problem.
The parking is adequate and the spaces are of decent width, but sometimes they do get down to one or two tight spots way in the bottom corner. My first-floor unit was small, had a concrete patio and not much of a view or sunlight, but hey, it's San Francisco.
If I moved back to San Francisco, I would consider St. Francis Place again.
