Ive been here about 4 weeks, and I must say that so far its pretty good.
The studio is at LEAST twice the size of the apt I moved from, and I had to share that with a roomate(it was though my school's housing) I was paying 1100/month there. It was on bush, near levenworth, which is a pretty quite area, not many homeless people. Here at market and 8th, well, lets just say that are a lot of homeless people. Most dont both you though, and Ive come to accept it. The area isnt as safe, though I am not 100% scare to walk around at night. The kitchenette is very small, and only a half size fridge. It was furnished, a plus. Though the sofa is quite dingy. The carpet looks really really good though. I have had a bit of an ant problem, but I do have a can of Raid..and they are just the little sugar ants. My apt is in the back of the building, so its pretty quiet. And every now and then you can smell the chinese food place next door in the lobby, but since my apt is in the back, I just walk on past it. The hot water has been ok so far. Ive yet to use the laundry room, but when I do I am going to stay there with my clothes as I cant afford to have any stolen. The only bad thing about being on the ground floor, is that the trash chute and laundry rooms are on every floor BUT the ground floor. But thats not a huge deal. Also, dont be fooled by the pics of this place, if you see them on the web. Those pics must have been taken years ago. Overall, I am happy so far. I did have to put a huge deposit down, about 2400...which is insane. But I will get it back once I move out. The staff has been really nice, though I have yet to complan about anything. And I have only heard my neighbors once (aside from doors opening/closing in the hall-sometmes). I havent seen am homeless people inside of the building, as one person posted, and my hallway DOESNT smell like urine. For 800 a month, I dont think you could really find a better place...at least I couldnt...

in about 5 months, when my lease is up, ill try to post again if things are different.
