The neighborhood is definitely "in transition". It's not that safe given that it borders the Tenderloin so you have to watch your back. We lived in a one bedroom loft on the 12th floor and loved the unit. Laundry is expensive, though as is parking $150 per month for a car and $75 for a motorcycle given they own the garage, too.

We didn't get along very well with Y---- in management but when we finally got to know her as we were moving out, she turned out to be a pretty nice lady, just has a tough exterior.

We loved the building and the fact that parking is available (tho' expensive) but the neighborhood leaves much to be desired. Also, the noise level is unbearable with the firetrucks!!! Even with windows closed.
