I have been living at Trinity Towers for 6 months, since September 2008, and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. The management has been very friendly and responsive to me. When I first toured the place Nina showed me three different units and gave me useful information on each one. When I moved in, I was allowed to reserve an elevator for as long as I needed it which really made the move-in go smoothly and quickly. I work 4 blocks away so I really love the convenience. The building is close to major bus lines and it's easy to catch a cab right outside if you need to.
I had some small maintenance issues such as a light bulb I couldn't replace myself and a nonfunctioning stove element both of which were taken care of within 24 hours of my submitting a maintenance request. The common areas are kept clean and tidy by a staff of folks that work every day. There are three laundry rooms on site and a number of dry cleaning establishments within a block. There is an open-air deck, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, exercise room with top quality Stairmaster machines, Lifecycle recumbent and upright cycles, Precor elliptical trainers, and a Universal-style multi-position weight training machine. I use the exercise room every day and I love its convenience! I have a car in the 3-story parking garage in the basement and it's about what you would expect to pay for parking in downtown San Francisco. There is a small deli downstairs that has lots of convenience-type items.
I read all of the reviews posted here and it looks like the vast majority of them were written a long time ago when there was a mold problem. If there ever was such a problem it has been resolved and there is no such problem now. Also, a lot of complaints are about the neighborhood which isn't really Trinity Towers' problem. If you're not prepared to live downtown then don't live downtown! Let your eyes be your guide. There are homeless folks and drug deals all around but that's the Tenderloin for you.
Other complaints were odd such as people who were unprepared and didn't have all the information they needed to rent, complaints about safety features in the parking lot like speed bumps, and complaints about being charged for bounced checks as if Trinity Towers is the only place that does that. I think a lot of the complaints are from the younger folks--spoiled kids or students who have lived their whole lives at home with mommy to pick up after them and daddy to open his wallet every time the kid came up short. These types are definitely in the minority but with the internet anyone can whine about anything. Thankfully, these children are in the minority and don't ruin the place for everyone else.
Most of the folks here seem very nice. I have met and conversed at length with two single women who live in the building and they love it. I also know a long-time resident couple who also love living here. So there you have it! Best of luck in your apartment search in San Francisco. If you work anywhere near Civic Center or just like the area I *definitely* recommend you give Trinity Towers a look!

Why is it when a place gets HORRIBLE reviews, one right after another, there is always a GREAT review that pops up that sounds like an employee has written it? I mean seriously who talks like this unless their job is to sell the apartments?

Maybe because negative comments are more likely to be posted than positive ones. I am not an employee and it's not my job to sell the apartments. I have first-hand knowledge because I live here and I like it and I don't mind telling others about my positive experiences. Do you live here? Do you have first-hand knowledge? Or do you just automatically assume that there's deception or a conspiracy without any facts? If anyone cares to meet me in person just let the on-site manager or leasing agent know. They know how to contact me. Have a nice day! :-)

i think most of us are used to boasting about great experiences and bad ones. All I can tell you that this place sucks do not waste your hard earned money in this toilet. If almost all of the reviews are negative than HELLO! don't rent there!!!!!

LSTATTI-
Maybe you should do a fact check before making accusations.. The flood occurred in February of 2009, affected more than 10 units, and Trinity Towers was taken to court and sued because of their handling, or lack thereof, of the events that transpired.. I currently live there also. Why don't you find something more useful to do with your time than being an uninformed, accusatory, naysayer. Thanks!
