Don't move here! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/4/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   The office staff will kiss your ass at first, and once you sign a lease they will never talk to you again. Stonestown Apts. is notorious for mosquito infestation, which many people do not know. It is absolutely HORRIBLE, since the apartments are so close to Lake Merced. The management is irresponsible and unconcerned with the well being of its tenants. I have called the health dept. twice since living here because of the mosquitos. A neighbor on the ground floor had a problem with mice. Oh, and my license plates were stolen off my car that was parked in the "secure" space I pay $50 a month for. Seriously, even if you go to State (as I do) Stonestown may be a convenient walk to school, but it is NOT worth all the problems that come along with living there. TRUST ME!!! They claim to give you free utilities the first year, but the heaters don't even work. If you are going to live here, I would recommed lots of bug repellant and blankets. Good luck!!
