ok, I'm sure if I was inclined I could come up with a list of why not to live anywhere. I also believe any place you are is only as good as you want to make it. Let's take some responsibility for ourselves and how we choose to let things affect us. I love it on the island. Free parking, all utilities paid, tons of open space, great neighbors. If someone wants to live where there is no noise, no potential of vandalism, kids are non-existent, management is perfect...GOOD LUCK..I don't think that exists anywhere. Ok, maybe a billion dollar gated community with it's own private security force and of course the rent to match. The island is an affordable alternative to anyone who is interested in living in a city environment without being right in the thick of it. Sure you may have issues but you'd have them anywhere else in the city along with no free parking (tickets galore), high utility costs, no pet rules, the lovely smell of fresh urine..etc. Trust me, if your'e looking for somewhere special and can "put up" with people in general..GO FOR IT...
