This place is a ------- joke! If you're looking for some place decent and real, avoid this place. It's fake as all hell, and so are most of the people that work there (with the exception of a few smart ones, who also agree to how horrible the place is, and how badly run). Today is the second time in a year my car was broken into. The patrol (if you can ever call them that) are a band of lazy, wreckless, misfit, morons. They waste their hours away drag racing down the street, blasting music in their cars, talking on the phone, and smoking pot, instead of actually doing what they're paid to do, which is protect the residents and their property. Forget about calling them for help. Forget about filing a report. They take their job so lightly, and there is not even the slightest hint of seriousness to them. I'd even go so far as to say the patrol are in on some of the crimes. You've got cars being broken into, things being stolen, walls being tagged, washers and dryers being ---- and pissed in (cause God only knows how funny that is). The Villas does nothing to help it's residents. They try to play the blame game instead of taking responsibility, when the only person they can and should blame is themselves. Why pay $1600 a month or more for nothing'! They waste the money they make on trying to make the place look like it's such a happy- peaceful- go lucky- family place. I tell you this, no amount of paint or events will ever ake this place good. Oh yeah, they might remodel an apartment for as cheaply as they can. They might have bogus community events to make it seem like it's just one big happy family. I'm telling you it's all fake! These people are just out for the dollar and themselves. I wish I had known these things before I moved in, but I didn't. Please, spare yourself the kind of -------- I'm forced to go through. Be smart and STAY AWAY! It's the best decision you'll ever make. Trust me.

I have struggled with these people as well. My lease will be up soon and I am so happy about that. I have never been so miserable in a place that I have rented before. I have sent letters and met with management. It does not help. I wear earplugs and earphones most of the time to survive the howling dog, hammering, shouting neighbors, and late night parties. The hall usually smells like garbage and/or cigarettes. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!

Listen, I'm not going to bad mouth Park Merced about things that don't happen or hasn't happen to me, that would be unfair, but I will tell you my first TWO weeks here, my car was broken into. Ok cool, I got over it, can't say it was park merced's fault but they were breaking into cars every week, you just have to look for the broken glass in the stalls. I like this place physically and some, yes some of the management cares but accounting are idiots. Thier latest screw up was moving out of a townhome to a tower. I moved out the 15th of the month and they pro-rated my townhome for 15 days. Then I was pro-rated for the tower for 15 days but before I could move into the tower they were sending threating letters to pay my townhome for the rest of the rent. Gave it to relations manager. She said don't worry, guess what I've been living here at the towers for two months now and thier going after me for $900 for the townhome I moved out. I told them don't let this happen when they kept giving me eviction notices but they assured me. This is my experience, gotto love these guys!!!

You guys are full of it in that your experiences are obviously isolated. This community is great as far as I am concerned. I have lived here 2 years and not had my car broken into nor have had much noise. This is an apartment property and open to the public like any other place in any city and car break ins happen. When it does happen, it is unfortuante. My experience with the management has been good. When I call for a work order, they respond quickly. When there is a an issue of concern and I called thecourtesy patrol, they come out right away. You folks are way over dramatizing this and are creating a false sense about Parkmerced. Get a life!

I use to work there in Resident relations department everyone was nice accept for the new manager who came on board she is the worst and one week after she came on board. I was told that I would not be let go and I was and the big boss said that I wouldn't be and I was full of crap. the management was the worst ever accept for the controller he was the best thing ever
