UPDATE: Villas Parkmerced is issuing subpoena's for possible legal action against residents posting negative reviews here! BE CAREFUL WHAT/HOW YOU ARE POSTING! This is further proof of them using misinformation and shady practices to appeal to prospective/inexperienced renters.

My horror story' I lived in a 2-bdrm apartment in the Towers at Parkmerced at $2100/month. Our ceiling started to leak a smelly dark liquid in a 1.5 ft radius in the living room, upon complaint, the Villas Parkmerced only PAINTED over it. It leaked again shortly after. Also, crazy people from the 12th floor frequently threw glass liquor bottles, a computer monitor, and even a couch from their window. The Villas Parkmerced were unresponsive and refused to take any action from witnesses, claiming they had to be caught "in the act." Obviously, we never could call fast enough for them to do anything.

Regardless, when you've moved in for about a month... you will notice that fresh coat of paint is peeling, showing dozens of rusted lead coats beneath it (bathrooms especially.) The only building they care to maintain properly is the sales office, where they'll dupe you into paying twice what you can find nearly anywhere within a mile. Otherwise, they'll simply paint all your problems away if your experience has been like mine.

I think it would be fair and just to update the viewer on the present condition of the properties at Parkmerced. Management has improved as has the condition of the repairs and maintenance of the residences. There is a genuine commitment on the part of management and those who reside to improve the amenities and services available. I feel there is a strong sense of community at Parkmerced today. This posting is dated and does not reflect the current condition of the property nor the responsiveness of staff members at Parkmerced. I have personally witnessed a genuine commitment to outstanding resident service. Thank you. Gio
