Moved into 101 San Fernando in 2004 spring, upon signing the lease I soon realized the fakeness of the leasing office staff. I thought I could get around that portion of living at 101 San Fernando because I have never really had a problem in an apartment so I don't generally deal with Leasing Staff, Management or Maintenance. One reason is if an apartment is in normal condition you should not have any reason to contact management or staff. In the case of living at 101 San Fernando that reality of living a normal lifestyle soon changes into a living nightmare of sorts.

Management has no concept on how to manage an apartment building, not to mention its own leasing staff people. Maintenance is not much of a going problem and issue, but it often take them a long time to fix the simplest of problems. You pay extremely high rent for what'
When I first moved in, it was obvious that 101 San Fernando never took the time out to clean and vacuum the carpets. The leasing staffs are idiots, so be sure to mark evry little thing you see, or otherwise you get charged on move out. My friends told me I should complain and have this all cleaned prior to my move-in. I phoned the Leasing Office ask for the Manager only to get the "Assistant Manager" who is very rude and condescending to your actual needs. Asst. Manager stated she would send the head of Maintenance to my apartment but with much reluctance. They basically tried to brush me off, but ob course I didn't let them. URG!

Management staffs are all bumbling idiots who know nothing of managing an apartment building. I never had an experience like this prior.

Many of the tenants here are college kids who find the common hallways to be a place to gather for conversation, beer drinking events, and playing of loud music. The College parties begin Thursday night and go on until early Monday morning. People drunk and passed out in coutyards, puking and utrashing in hallways it is crazy! The police are called all the time regarding various incidents.

I can not wait until my lease expires; I am so frustrated with all this nonsense! I pay good money to live hear, a place that I thought would be decent only to find the opposite. Some people have real jobs and don't go to kiddie playground college down the street, SJSU, and we don't have time for this kind of b@$&hit!

Management turns their heads; leasing staff goes about work clueless to the surroundings. My friends have come to visit me on several occasions and they always ask me why I stay at such place. Answer: Management tells you that you are locked into the lease agreement and breaking the lease agreement would be costly.

I have read some of these complaints and it does seem I do not speak for only myself! What idiotic person said YES twice' It would have to be 101 San Fernando management or maybe possibly the building contractors' Only a fool would place a YES review! Notice the YES reviews often have no contact name hmm... interesting, not!

I would not recommend 101 San Fernando to my worst enemy.

101 San Fernando is what one described as a dump, a filthy, scuzzy transients and criminals, college kid play ground. With rents topping over high $1,300-$1,650 per month one might expect a little more respect from the Management and Leasing Staff here and deal with the problems.

This place is constantly vandalized or damaged by drunken college kids or disgruntled tenants. An unemployed low income housing tenant has taken refuge in one of the buildings and intimidates tenants constantly with loud music, verbal gestures, pounding of the walls and such.

Seek better accommodations elsewhere for 101 San Fernando is not what they appear and certainly not what the leasing staff would have you to believe just to have you sign a lease contract binding you to the terms. I rate this apartment a big ZERO being the worse in all of San Jose downtown for the price you pay.
