very convenient with a few drawbacks

My roomate and I absolutely love the amenities - garage, extra storage, private patio, washer/dryer. The apartment is also very clean and well maintained. One major problem we had in the beginning is with our phone. We were not told by the front office that some strange SoCal company owns the inside lines and if we wanted SBC, we would have to pay and extra $120 to switch over the lines. So we ended up losing over $100 on that one. We have had a couple maintenance problems having to do with the maintenance man coming and saying he fixed the problem when he really did not. However, we did not get any delays or have any problems when we called the office. The complex is very quiet and the parking is absolutely great (but is not that well-lit). As for the office staff, they are ok. One office staff person is very friendly, but very air-headed. The other is not very friendly, but not as air-headed. As for the price - we got a fairly good deal when we moved in, but now that we've been there a year, our rent is skyrocketing relative to the economy. The office is not willing to work with us, so unfortunately we will probably have to move. We have found comparable apartments (same amenities) for way less so we are going to have to go for that.
