Finally decided to give my review. The apartments have a charm that makes them feel like home. At times charming, at times a little irritating.
The good: overall a very serene, quiet and pleasant grounds. You either like it or not, responding to one comment about the place looking ugly; not to me at least.
The managers are friendly and kind. Any issue you may have is worked on.
Nice amenities include:
1) indoor washer and dryer
2) balconies or patios
3) very nice swimming pool and jacuzzi
4) a nice terrace over the office
5) variety of apt. styles to suit taste & $$
6) the garages are very nice
7) gated entrance
8) month-to-month leases nice
9) rent price has been okay
10) neighbors quiet; freeway & shops not
The bad, with varying degrees but no particular order:
1) summertime ants come to visit annually
2) freeway noise very audible on edge apts.
3) told shops opp. fwy have daytime noise
4) sbc local service install costs $120
5) haven't tried their dsl: $50/dep. $50/mo.
6) their local phone service limits other
services and has false caller id; when
you call someone, they get another no.
7) cable is theirs too; ok but only some
dish services will work/allowed
8) immediate neighborhood could be a little
cleaner, but it's very tolerable
9) gym-lovers: no gym here, but nice running
spots nearby, pool and paid gyms as well
So, ultimately, depending on your own style of living and individual pet peeves, this could be heaven or it could be something else.
Personally, it's been very comfortable, peaceful, tolerable and livable you either live it or leave it (thought I'd say love it, huh').
