I have lived here 5 years. The price is the cheapest I am aware of in any part of the Bay Area. I used to pay 965 a 2 bedroom apartment. Because of rent-control, it has only grown to 1145 as of October 2008. For the price, you get pretty good stuff. Gas Stoves, spacious apartment, decent neighbourhood, safe environment. I think the maintenance staff are good. They have responded within a day to almost all of my concerns in the last 5 years. Simple layout of the apartment, makes it mostly easy to furnish/clean/maintain.

Cons: I don't like Nora at the office. She is unpredictable and whimsical. She almost never comes to the office on time. But almost always leaves before she is supposed to. I once called in and said I was coming in to pick up a package and that I might be around 5 minutes beyond the time the office closes. I was expecting her to wait. She did not. However I caught her coming down the stairs and it would have taken a minute to unlock the office and get my package. But she refused to do so. On the flip side, she does talk properly to you on the phone etc. They have refused to do any maintenance on our carpets (even though it has 5 years of wear).

Parking is a problem, but I keep regular hours and do have one parking spot reserved. So it doesn't affect me.

The one reason I am considering moving out is that the walls are thin. I can hear whats going on in the apartments, above, below and to my sides. And of-late, it has disturbed my sleep too much.

I have lived here for a few years now and I have found Nora to be an extreamly competent and friendly manager, She does a wonderful job and my kids love her. It is the highest level of disrespect to assume that anyone should stick arround the office after hours to wait on someone for personal buisness ( I.E. picking up a personal package) I am not sure what issue this person has had with her but she has always done exactly what she said she would and kept every appointment she has made with me. Some people just are not happy unless they can complain about the lamest, stupidest and most insignificant things. My apartment is clean and maintenance issues are delt with immediately and most important to me my children and wife are safe in or arround the property. thank you nora, keep up the great job!!!
