Archstone Monterey Grove

DON'T LIVE THERE From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/14/2004 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   My boyfriend, friend and I were looking for a place to live. We saw Archstone which looked really nice but wasnt as nice as we thought. I was bothered with the fact we had to pay for the parking spots and that we had to pay 45.00 for the washer and dryer in the unit. Not sure if that is normal but we didnt care we had a nice apartment. But then thats when we started to notice people parking in our parking spots. I think the first night we were there we had a car towed from our spot. Then we started to see a lot more cars taking our spots. We started just to leave notes and parking our cars in other spots. Or we would have the car towed. We started asking around about the towing and we found out that Archstone was assigning out spots to other tenants. The spots we have to pay for! How do you do that' And on top of that there is not enough guest parking. If my friends come over it takes them 20 mins just to find a spot then 20 mins to get to the apartment because they had to park in the front of the complex. Another thing is they have cars broken into all the time. About 3 months after moving in my boyfriend's work truck was broken into. Nothing was done with the break in. I would not tell anyone to live there. After reading what everyone else wrote about this place I was nodding my head yes and wish I read this site before moving in! DONT MOVE THERE! We broke our lease just to get out of there too!
