Nice but not the best

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
I?ve been here for almost 2 yrs. I like it because it?s walking distance to my work. It?s too expensive for the quality and service provided. Overall it is new, clean and safe. It?s a convenient location for me.
Only complaints are:
1) In the master bedroom are two closets with slinding doors. They were not measured correctly when the aprtments were built and they are too narrow. The doors don?t close without hitting the hangers and your clothes. The hangers stick out further than the doors. But nothing can be done about that. It?s an architectual mistake.
2) Our screen on the patio door is bent and doesn?t close all the way. We called twice on it and all they try to do is bend it back into shape. It still doesn?t close to where it can be locked. They refuse to replace it. We have a broken window screen due to someone?s cat but they probably won?t fix that either so I havn?t complained about it.
3) When we scheduled a carpet cleaning no one showed up. This happened three times in a row. On the fourth time they finally came. Don?t know if that?s the fault of the management or the carpet cleaning company.
4) Don?t believe them if they tell you that you are the first person to live in that unit. That?s what they told us but we found out it wasn?t true when we continued to get someone elses mail who appearently lived there before us. They told the same thing to a friend of mine. But when she opened the dishwasher there were some things left behind from the previous tenent.
5) Sometimes you get people speeding through the driveway. They knocked over a couple light posts so far.
6) There seems to be an unusual amount of power outages.
7) If you live on the first floor you can hear people walking up and down the stairs. It is soooo loud. Luckily I don?t sleep in that side of the apartment. If you have kids or a baby it?s not too good. It would wake them.
8) At the beginning they were towing cars left and right. You coulnd?t even leave your car near the apartment to bring in the grocerys with out the tow truck showing up. When we moved in we parked the car near our apartment to carry things in and one of the managers told us that we had to park the car in a space. She expected us to carry furniture accross the parking lot to our apartmenet. Since then there is new management. I havn?t seen the tow trucks around as much.
I havn?t had any problems with new managment. I find it comfortble to live there.
