I have lived at AWG since 2003. I have found the staff to usually be friendly and helpful. The one time that I had a problem, I talked to management and the staff member's attitude did adjust. Although it is true that parking can be a pain (don't arrive after 8:00PM and expect to park in front of your building, most nights) there is plenty of off street parking. Many people have mentioned the huge jump in rent, unfortunately, that is the reality of living in the valley. All rents are going up. I know, because I looked at other apartment complexes before deciding to stay here. Our rent was going form $1385 up to $1630 on a 1B/1B. We were able to negotiate a lower rate. Based on the amenities here, it (the negotiated rate) is as good a rate, in some cases a better rate, than at similar communities. I will admit that the grounds are not a new looking as they were when we first moved in in 2003, but the complex was only about a year old. Concrete gets stained because people spill things. The gates become broken because people abuse them. The parking problem could be fixed if management would assign spaces, but them people would complain about where their guest could park.

Bottom line; this is not you private property, you are sharing with an entire community. If you want perfection, it's going to cost you about $1800 (1B/1B) per month and it won't be here.

However for us, the good definitely out weighs the bad and we will be staying for another year. We love the views from our apartment and the staff is great. Maintenance staff is friendly and very helpful. I enjoy calling Archstone home.
